On November 10th, Alliance member Upswell led a webinar on content strategy for public health. This webinar gave public health organizations and advocates the tools to develop engaging, useful, and impactful social media content that people want to share. Attendees came away with knowledge about how to define their goals, understand their audience, measure success, and evolve.
Last week Sara Anderson, Executive Director of the Alliance, was honored to be part of the White House Roundtable on AI and Health. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy convened a distinguished group of leaders from across sectors to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) can be safely deployed to improve health outcomes, with a special breakout session on the use of AI to improve public health and global health. To prepare for the meeting, the Alliance sought input from our multi-sector members and key stakeholders on what three-four points they would make if they were at the table.
During this session, Sarah Francis, Founding Partner, Campaigns & Impact and co-Founder Drew Bernard at Upswell, and Alliance member, led a session on the types of research that can be deployed through social media and how to use social media as a tool for survey recruitment. Sarah and Drew shared insights on how to understand one’s audience, measure the impact of ads on the perception of a brand, and use in-app polls. They also shared information on ads targeting options and strategies to create engaging content to help recruit participants through online surveys.
