Building a Career in Global Health Conference
Join Alliance member UCSF at a conference designed for healthcare providers interested in starting careers in global health or integrating global health into their existing practices. The two-day conference will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to successfully navigate domestic topics, such as project funding and job negotiation, and international topics, such as partnership building and program development.
International Humanitarian Surgical Skills Course
Join Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health for their International Humanitarian Surgical Skills course. The course will help prepare international humanitarian volunteers for delivering surgical care in a low resource setting for treatment of common surgical and obstetric conditions. The 1 ½ day course will provide an overview of the scope of conditions that one might encounter in resource- limited environments. The course is intended for physicians and advanced practice providers with pre-existing surgical/procedural skills: surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, and OBGYN.
The Rx One Health Field Institute
Join UC Davis Veterinary Medicine for the Rx One Health Field Institute, a transformative field-based experiential learning course focused on One Health core competencies for graduate students and early career professionals from all disciplines. Through hands-on experiences, case studies, group discussions and field exercises, Rx One Health will develop participants’ skills for addressing complex challenges using the One Health approach, which recognizes that the health of people, animals, and their environments are interconnected, and that problem solving to address complex challenges is best achieved through transdisciplinary collaboration.
