Insights to Action: Ideation on Implementation for Equity

Too often, promising health interventions do not reach the world’s most vulnerable or are not effectively adapted to community needs and constraints. This often results in critical needs remaining unmet and growing health inequity, despite significant investment seeking to address these issues. On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the Bay Area Global Health Alliance’s Insights to Action: Ideation on Implementation for Equity event explored practical solutions to close the gap between what we know and what we do, using the lens of implementation science to advance health equity. One week later, a follow-up event on November 3, 2023, created an opportunity for more dialogue and small group breakout discussions.

Virtual Global Health Week

Join Consortium of Universities for Global Health for their Virtual Global Health Week Satellite Sessions.

This event will take place virtually from October 30 to November 3, 2023, prior to the in-person conference from March 7-10, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. The Satellite Sessions will host 18 separate discussions ranging from pollution and the climate crisis, to mental health and equitable healthcare.

One Health Symposium

Join University of California, Davis, One Health Institute and for their 10th annual One Health Symposium.

This year’s One Health Symposium theme focuses on climate change and its role in natural disasters globally, with an emphasis on innovation and global variability in transdisciplinary responses. The event will feature a global student case competition, a keynote talk from a world expert on the One Health approach to promote planetary health, and a panel discussion on battling the effects of climate change.

The North Carolina Global Health Conference

Join North Carolina Global Health Alliance for their 10th annual Global Health Conference.

This event will take place on November 1, 2023 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. At this year's event, North Carolina Global Health Alliance’s community will come together to evaluate what it means to have Resilience in the Global Health Ecosystem. Through this theme, the event will reflect on the key elements to expanding global health partnerships, adapting the way we work, and deepening community relationships in the face of an ever-evolving global health landscape.
