UNGA 78 | Historic Convening of Three High-Level Meetings on Health, Members Gather in NYC

Aug 30, 2023

For the first time, the UN General Assembly will convene three High-Level Meetings on health during its 78th session (UNGA 78) in New York in September 2023. Currently, the world is off track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) health targets by 2030. UNGA78 is an historic opportunity for world leaders to place health back on the high-level political agenda as they recommit to ending tuberculosis (TB), delivering universal health coverage (UHC) and strengthening pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, according to the World Health Organization

To elevate and advocate for global health, the Bay Area Global Health Alliance will be attending UNGA 78, along with Alliance members, Accenture, Baraka Impact Finance, Cepheid, Chevron, Connective Impact, Cross-Border Impact Ventures, Fistula Foundation, Friends of the Global Fight, GAIA Global Health, GBCHealth, Global Health Corps, Global Health Council, Global Health Technologies Coalition, Merck, Meta, Nivi, PATH, Roche Diagnostics, Seed Global Health, Simprints, Watsi, and others.

The Alliance will be hosting a Networking Meet Up for Members at 4-6:30pm ET, near Madison Square Park. Register here. Space is limited and members in good standing will be prioritized.
