WHO Technical Webinar Series on Climate Change and Health

Join Alliance member WHO for their Technical Webinar Series on Climate Change and Health. These webinars will integrate training, experience sharing, interactive activities and group discussion with the aim of building capacity for implementation at country level. Webinars will take place from April 24th to October 23, and recordings of past webinars will be made available on their webpage.

Wildfire Virtual Workshop

McGill Summer Institutes in Global Health

The McGill Summer Institutes in Global Health has proudly offered short courses for students and professionals for nine years. With 15 in-person and virtual courses to choose from, the summer institute provides sources of professional development for those working in universities, clinical settings, research institutes, non-profit organizations and industry. They also provide supplemental material for current students looking to learn more.

Improving Access to Tools that Detect Severe Illness

Join Alliance member PATH for the opportunity to review key findings and learnings from the Tools for Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (TIMCI) project. Tools like Pulse Oximeters empower health workers to identify critically ill children and refer them for treatment without delay. TIMCI is a Unitaid-funded initiative led by PATH, in partnership with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and local research partners in India (Uttar Pradesh), Kenya, Senegal, and Tanzania. Between 2019 and 2024, the TIMCI project worked in collaboration with the country governments to improve access to affordable and appropriate tools to help health care providers identify and manage children who are severely ill.

How to Cover Planetary Health

Join Mongabay for their Mongabay Webinar Series: Planetary Health on June 13th @ 9PM UTC (2PM PST). This Mongabay webinar will focus on the planetary health framework, and how journalists can better communicate stories related to global or ecological change and the human health impacts of these changes. Panelists for this webinar include Alliance members Sam Myers, the faculty director of the Planetary Health Alliance, and Mark Schapiro, a journalist and lecturer at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
