Darren Back

Darren Back is responsible for driving Pfizer’s enterprise strategy for global public health and patient impact to expand the Company’s commitments to the most vulnerable patients around the world. This includes expanding access to quality healthcare through health-related investments, setting and leading The Pfizer Foundation program and investment strategies, disaster and humanitarian response, and driving colleague pro-bono and community engagement initiatives. As part of this role, Darren is also responsible for Pfizer’s Global Health Committee, working with Executives, Senior Business Leaders and Board Members to set the Company’s approach and investments in global health.

An expert in public health, Darren is passionate about identifying innovative solutions and partnerships to address health challenges. Prior roles at Pfizer include Communications Lead for Pfizer’s Portfolio, Strategy & Investment governance body and the Strategy, Portfolio & Commercial Operations (SPCO) organization.

Darren has more than 20 years’ experience in global health, corporate affairs and strategic healthcare communications. Prior to joining Pfizer, Darren was Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Hill & Knowlton’s New York Healthcare practice.
