The DASON Project: Improving Pediatric Tube-Feeding from Chile to the World
Join Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign on Tuesday, May 6 for the next session in its Innovation & Health Equity Discussion Series, The DASON Project: Improving Pediatric Tube-Feeding from Chile to the World.
Supported by an international, multidisciplinary team from Stanford University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the DASON project is developing a novel securement device that allows Foley catheters to be used safely and effectively as gastrostomy tubes for children in limited-resource settings. DASON has shown promising results in early clinical and mechanical studies in Chile, and has been recognized through international conferences, publications, and major grant funding.
In this webinar, the DASON team will share their insights on cross-cultural collaboration, student-led innovation initiatives, and low-cost global health technology development.
