Connecting for innovation and impact for all in global health

The elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (EMTCT) is a cornerstone of global efforts to achieve the triple elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B. Worldwide, HIV treatment coverage among pregnant women has increased from 48% in 2010 to 82% in 2022. However, progress has stalled over the past seven years, leaving 130,000 children newly infected each year, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa.
Through different country lenses, this webinar will explore cornerstones of HIV testing services delivery to achieve EMTCT, including catch-up testing, re-testing, linkage to prevention or treatment, and network-based testing.
This webinar is presented in partnership with PSI and is part of the series: TEST. ADAPT. DELIVER. HIV testing services in a shifting landscape. Navigating change, driving innovation and delivering impact in HIV testing services and beyond.
