Beyond the Hype: What AI Really Means for the HIV Response

This webinar is part of a two-part webinar series on the role of artificial intelligence in the HIV response. The first, “Beyond the hype: What AI really means for the HIV response”, will address key questions about artificial intelligence and its role in strengthening the HIV response. The second, “Using digital tools to launch and scale new HIV prevention products”, will examine how countries can strengthen the systems needed to introduce, deliver and sustain new HIV prevention products at scale.
This session will begin with an introduction to the fundamentals of AI, followed by practical examples of how AI-driven tools are being adopted in resource-limited countries to enhance HIV prevention, treatment and care. The session will integrate perspectives from affected communities and explore the ethical considerations necessary to ensure that AI contributes to people-centered and stigma-free services.
