Bay Area World Malaria Day Forum

April 24 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Bay Area World Malaria Day Forum hosted by the Center for Malaria and Vector-Borne Diseases (CMVBD) at the UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences will take place on Friday, April 24, from 9 AM to noon PT at UCSF’s Mission Bay Campus.

World Malaria Day (WMD) is a global event that raises awareness about malaria and builds momentum to defeat this deadly disease. The 2026 WMD theme, “United Against Malaria,” calls for urgent global action and commitment to end malaria once and for all. For Bay Area malaria researchers, advocates, organizations, and funders, this forum is an opportunity to gather, exchange information and ideas, and build collaboration for the malaria fight.

A light breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 AM PT. A reception with refreshments will be held from noon to 1 PM PT directly following the Forum.
