AI Governance Convening
Join the Bay Area Global Health Alliance on May 7, 2026, from 8:00–9:30 AM PT for a virtual convening on AI Governance, as part of our AI and Global Health Discussion Series.
As highlighted in the Alliance’s 2026 global health trends piece, AI and digital transformation are accelerating across global health, but governance of data and models will determine whether these tools strengthen health systems or deepen existing inequities. Across global forums — from the World Health Assembly to Davos — leaders are emphasizing that AI’s promise in health depends on strong data governance, regulatory clarity, interoperability, and country ownership.
This convening will feature Alliance members HealthAI, Transform Health, and Vital Strategies in a discussion on why AI governance is central to health reform, digital transformation, and responsible innovation in global health, particularly in LMIC contexts.
