International Developmental Pediatrics Association Congress

The 6th International Developmental Pediatrics Association (IDPA) Congress will be held December 1–4, 2025, at the Barcelo Hotel in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Hosted by the International Developmental Pediatrics Association and Wuqu’ Kawoq | Maya Health Alliance, this international event will bring together professionals from developmental pediatrics, child mental health, education, disability services, public health, and related fields to promote equity in child development and developmental disabilities. The congress will also commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2025.

This is the first time the IDPA Congress will be held in Latin America, offering a unique focus on Indigenous and minority communities. Sessions will highlight strategies to break down structural barriers to healthcare for children with disabilities, foster collaboration with disability and Indigenous organizations, and amplify voices from low- and middle-income countries. The program will feature preconference workshops, plenary sessions, and mentorship dinners connecting early career professionals with experts from around the world.
